We are constantly updating the Citation Generator to provide the best possible experience for our users. Here are some of the exciting new features we are working on:

    • 🗓️ You can now clear the date accessed field with a single button.
    • When you click sign up, you are now redirected to the sign up page instead of the log in page.
    • Fixed a bug where capitalization suggestions were not shown.

    • 👥 We’ve completely updated the feature to add contributors to a source. This now works much more intuitively.
    • 🗓️ The date you accessed the source is now always visible in a reference when you add it manually. Before this change, it was only shown in some citation styles when the publication date was unknown.
    • It is now possible to remove your list as a guest user.

    • For now, we’ve disabled the use of URLs to find journal articles because it didn’t work. The good news is that we’re working on a major update to search, which should go live early next year.

    • 📋 When you copy something for the first time, we also ask you which application you are copying to. This will make your reference look perfect in Microsoft Word and Google Docs!

    • 🎓 It is now possible to generate your citations in the “Harvard Cite Them Right” citation style. 
    • Fixed an issue where the name of countries where not correctly displayed in a reference.
    • We now only add the access date to the source when using the search function when the citation style and source type require it. You can still add or remove the access date manually.
